Catapults!

In science lab today we watched a PowerPoint about catapults. We learned about a few different kinds of catapults and talked about what they were used for in the Middle Ages. We also talked about force, motion, and energy. Each pair of partners made a catapult together using a Popsicle stick, a paper clip, a bottle cap, and a Pom Pom. They assembled their catapult together and tried to aim it at their paper castle. Ask your child- were you able to knock down the castle? Did your catapult shoot straight or to the side? Why do you think that happened? Were you able to use more than one Pom Pom?
